‘24 Horas con Rakesh’ toma forma como exposición.

El próximo miércoles día 5 en la ciudad financiera del Banco Santander tendrá lugar la primera exposición del proyecto “24 Horas con Rakesh”. Se realizará coincidiendo con la visita en Madrid de Urmi Basu, directora de New Light, y varios de los niños de su programa de acogida en Calcuta.
La exposición se realizará gracias al apoyo del Banco Santander, Mundo Cooperante y Barha Party. Serán 22 fotografías con textos y un montaje audiovisual para mostra cómo New Light ha cambiado la vida de Rakesh en un barrio de prostitución como es Kalighat.
Este es el montaje audiovisual con fotografías inéditas que se podrá ver en la sala.

Rakesh and his classmates at the door of ST. Sebastian´s School of Kolkata. This is one of the most important schools in the city. It´s really hard to get into this school. New Light give all the money needed for the education of Rakesh. Thanks to the work of Urmi Basu (Director/founder of New Light) the school has accepted a boy like him, (Something really hard here).

Rakesh and his clasmates are taking a taxi to the school as every morning. Usually there are 6 children in one taxi (plus one teacher form New Light and the taxi driver). New Light pay the taxi every morning and send a van to pick up the children from school at the end of the morning.
